Ways to
Get Involved

Want to make a difference in the Shasta community? We need volunteers to help with all kinds of tasks.

Newsletter

Writers, artists, photographers, and people to help with the administrative tasks of getting out a bi-monthly newsletter are all needed. Contact Elisabeth Steadman if you want to help out or make a submission to the newsletter.

Letter-Writing Campaigns

Letter writing campaigns targeting key politicians and other public figures are important to implementing real change. Contact Joan Manning.

Event Coordinators

Many hands are always needed for special events such as our annual Peace March, Darwin Day, Day of Reason, and event booths. Contact Elisabeth Steadman.

"Peace is not something you wish for. It's something you make; something you do."

-Robert Fulghum

“It is more difficult to organize a peace than to win a war; but the fruits of victory will be lost if the peace is not organized.”
-Aristotle

“Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures.”
-J. F. Kennedy
